On September 24th, he ran a dirt trial over 1200m (running positions: 2-2-4), where he looked towards empty space and his pace was not strong. Four weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile; he was slow to jump out and settled towards the rear, maintaining an even pace throughout, but managed to make up some ground in the final stages. His trial performance was mediocre. Now stepping up a class, he contested a mile over dirt again this time with 20 pounds less weight. His time in the group was acceptable, and he performed adequately in the gatework. Even with four consecutive losses, unfavorable conditions, and no outstanding finishing kick, he will likely run as a supporting horse in this race.
