As the start was effected, PICKETT got its right hind leg up and caught on the platform inside its stall. As a consequence, PICKETT began very awkwardly, resulting in J Winks, its rider, almost being dislodged. Also as the start was effected, DYNAMIC BLITZ lifted its front feet off the ground and began awkwardly. NICE KING began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped HIGH LUCK. Approaching the turn at the 700 Metres, when being steadied to obtain a position with cover, TREASURE RAIDERS got its head on the side, hung in and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HIGH LUCK. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, NICE KING got its head on the side, shifted in, bumped the running rail, became badly unbalanced and almost fell. On straightening, STILTON was steadied and shifted to the outside of ELITE FORTUNE to go forward. Near the 100 Metres, STILTON, which was hanging in, shifted ground and made contact with TREASURE RAIDERS, causing that horse to become unbalanced. At this time, K T Yeung stopped riding STILTON out and changed the whip into his right hand. Throughout the race, ELITE FORTUNE travelled wide and without cover. DYNAMIC BLITZ and GAUCHO were sent for sampling.
