Whilst in the saddling stalls, it was noted that SMART GIANT had lost its left front plate. This plate was refitted. SMART GIANT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. KINGS DOMAIN, which was fractious in the barriers and reared, was slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, KINGS DOMAIN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. FULL VERSION and POLYMER POWER were slow to begin. NEW VISION began awkwardly. GUNNER MAC blundered at the start. Near the 50 Metres, SCENT OF OSMANTHUS was steadied and shifted to the inside of the heels of NEW VISION. Over the concluding stages, SMART GIANT got its head on the side and lay out. A veterinary inspection of KINGS DOMAIN after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that GUNNER MAC had lost its left front plate. FAIR NAVIGATOR and SMART GIANT were sent for sampling. < 29/11/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that WORLD WAY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, WORLD WAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
