SPICY FRUITY was withdrawn on 4.5.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right fore fetlock) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter STEEL NERVES (G Cheyne). After being loaded, FLORAL PICASSO repeatedly kicked out the back gates. FLORAL PICASSO was removed from the stalls and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said it had sustained multiple wounds to both hind legs and, in his opinion, was not suitable to race. Accordingly, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of FLORAL PICASSO. Before being allowed to race again, FLORAL PICASSO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. VIVA GUY stood flat-footed at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, VIVA GUY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. WIN-A-LOT hung in in the Straight and proved difficult to ride. Apprentice K W Leung (HORSE WIN WIN) was spoken to regarding the amount of the whip to be used on horses which are not in contention. A veterinary inspection of SUPER GENERAL after the race did not show any significant findings. Following the race, HORSE WIN WIN was found to be distressed. Before being allowed to race again, HORSE WIN WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHATER D`CAT and PRECISION MAGIC were sent for sampling. < 6/5/2010> Additional Veterinary Report from 5 May 2010 Race Meeting: SUPER GENERAL, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. SUPER GENERAL was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER GENERAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
