Whilst in the saddling stalls, it was noted that EXCELLENT WIN had lost its left front plate. This plate was refitted. EXCELLENT WIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. JUST GOOD and FOREVER DESTINY were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, WORLD WAY was bumped by KHARU which shifted out. Also shortly after the start, REAL SUPREME was briefly crowded for room between ADMIRATION and FAY FAY, both of which shifted ground. Making the first turn, CITY DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted out across the heels of FOREVER DESTINY. After this, CITY DRAGON raced greenly. Near the 600 Metres, LIBERATOR was checked when momentarily crowded for room inside TRAVEL PRINCE which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. TRAVEL PRINCE was immediately shifted back out by its rider. When TRAVEL PRINCE shifted out, it bumped KING OF FISH II which in turn made contact with EXCELLENT WIN. JUST GOOD and FOREVER DESTINY, which were following, were inconvenienced in consequence. HINYUEN PALADIN and FAY FAY were sent for sampling.
