As the start was effected, OASIS DAVIS stood flat-footed and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, OASIS DAVIS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. GOLDMEN Y Y was slow to begin. For some distance passing the 1600 Metres, NICKU proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. Passing the 1600 Metres, GOLDMEN Y Y was steadied away from the heels of TREMENDOUS PLUS. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ROCKET AND GOLD was checked when crowded for room inside TREMENDOUS PLUS which, after initially racing tight inside MASTER DREAMER (G Cheyne), got its head on the side and shifted in of its own accord. G Cheyne was advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room to runners on his inside in future. Passing the 900 Metres, GOLDMEN Y Y was awkwardly placed close to the heels of THISTLE SPIRIT which shifted in. After this, GOLDMEN Y Y was shifted to the outside of THISTLE SPIRIT to improve its position. A veterinary inspection of GOLDMEN Y Y after the race did not show any significant findings. HOW WONDERFUL and HO WONGCHOY were sent for sampling. <15/7/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that NICKU was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, NICKU will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
