TRAVEL DATUK was withdrawn on 2.12.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, TRAVEL DATUK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUPER CHIC began only fairly.
SKY KING shifted out on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of STAR SUPERIOR which became unbalanced.
Shortly after the start, GENEROUS HEART was steadied in an attempt to obtain cover, however, for the majority of the race travelled wide and without cover.
From the outside barrier, LITTLE ISLAND was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
After the 250 Metres, DOLLAR REWARD raced tight inside the heels of TURIN PEARL.
Close to the finishing line, UNICRON JEWELLERY shifted out and bumped SUPER CHIC, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Also close to the finishing line, TURIN PEARL and KYRUS BOWSER raced tight.
A veterinary inspection of STAR SUPERIOR immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STAR SUPERIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
TURIN PEARL and KYRUS BOWSER were sent for sampling.
