ANIMATION was slow to begin and then was ridden along to go forward. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, REAL PLEASURE became badly unbalanced and lost a considerable amount of ground when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY AMBASSADOR and tight inside BOUNCER which momentarily got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. NOBLE TWINS and TREMENDOUS PLUS, which were following, were checked in consequence. No action was taken. O Doleuze (REAL PLEASURE) explained after this incident REAL PLEASURE travelled ungenerously and in the Straight gave ground. REAL PLEASURE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, REAL PLEASURE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had bled from both nostrils. On straightening, ANIMATION was bumped and carried wider by BOUNCER which at this time shifted to the outside of MIRACULOUS to obtain clear running. For the major part of the race, MIRACULOUS travelled wide and without cover. JUGGERNAUT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of JUGGERNAUT after the race did not show any significant findings. BOUNCER and HAPPY AMBASSADOR were sent for sampling.
