After being boxed, MY PRIDE became fractious, lunged forward and broke open the front gate of its stall. MAGIC TEMPLE was slow to begin. VICTORY MASCOT was slow into stride. At the 1000 Metres, WIKI WIKI was steadied away from the heels of THAT'S IT which got its head on the side and shifted out. For a considerable part of the race, DR POSSI travelled wide and without cover, made the Home Turn awkwardly, got its head on the side and hung out. In the early part of the Straight, KEEN TAKER hung out. After the 200 Metres, SPLENDID SAILS hung out. In the run to the line, JADE DANCER hung in and raced close to the rail. Because of this, JADE DANCER was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. NORDIC STAR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NORDIC STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. VIENTO, MAGIC TEMPLE and THAT'S IT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that THAT'S IT had bled from both nostrils.
