On jumping, SOUNDS FANTASTIC and MAN IN THE MIRROR were taken back. VISIONARIO began awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after entering the Back Straight, B Prebble (ONE TOUCH) dropped his whip. For the major part of the race, KINGIFLY travelled wide and without cover. When questioned regarding the poor performance of INDUSTRIAL MARVEL which finished tailed out, C W Wong said he was able to obtain the lead in the race as instructed without having to make too much use of his mount. He said INDUSTRIAL MARVEL did not relax tonight with a runner travelling towards its outside. He said INDUSTRIAL MARVEL came under pressure prior to straightening and was disappointing in the manner in which it gave ground in the Straight. INDUSTRIAL MARVEL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of INDUSTRIAL MARVEL after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of INDUSTRIAL MARVEL was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, INDUSTRIAL MARVEL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPER PEGASUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER PEGASUS after the race did not show any significant findings. ONE TOUCH, SEA TREASURE and AMPLE GAINS were sent for sampling. Additional Veterinary Reports <30/10/2008> SUPER PEGASUS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. SUPER PEGASUS was again examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison at the stables of Trainer D E Ferraris this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER PEGASUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. The Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison reported that MAN IN THE MIRROR was this morning found to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MAN IN THE MIRROR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
