NORMAN INVADER was slow into stride. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, ISLAND SUPER and FLORAL EL CUENTO were inconvenienced by MEDIC FORTUNE which hung out and shifted wider on the track. After this, MEDIC FORTUNE continued to hang out. At the 700 Metres, FLEET COMMAND, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted out and bumped ROYAL PERICLES which in turn shifted ground and inconvenienced ISLAND SPEED which was carried wider and then raced without cover. From on straightening until the 150 Metres, FLEET COMMAND was held up and unable to obtain clear running. In the early part of the Straight, DEFERENTIAL had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 200 Metres, MEDIC FORTUNE, which had been experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between NORMAN INVADER and FLEET COMMAND. After this, MEDIC FORTUNE did not obtain clear running and as a consequence was not tested. Throughout the race, DOUBLE LUCK travelled wide and without cover. BUNDLE O' GOLD was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BUNDLE O' GOLD after the race did not show any significant findings. BRILLIANT CHAPTER and ONE WORLD were sent for sampling.
