ACCOLADE START

Two weeks ago, this horse ran impressively over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before finishing strongly in the final two sections with good speed. He finished eighth, beaten two and a half lengths. In a subsequent trial over a Happy Valley mile, he will carry two pounds less weight this time but the sectionals weren't favorable, requiring him to settle back in the field; however, his finishing kick wasn’t as strong as the opponents. Despite an advantageous barrier draw and good cooperation between trainer and jockey, he isn’t considered a strong contender for this race.
