STORMING DRAGON

Two weeks ago, this horse ran well over Sha Tin’s 1400m, jumping moderately and settling towards the rear. It demonstrated a strong late run to finish fourth, beaten three and a half lengths. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the horse has shown form over this distance and comparable times within its group. Drawing a good barrier provides an advantageous position. The jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities, preparation appears thorough; however, a hold-up tactic may not suit given it lacks the finishing kick of rivals, and there’s a perceived lack of synergy between trainer and jockey, suggesting a likely finish towards the back.
