FATAL BLOW

On March 24th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m saw the horse lead and maintain pace for a fast time. On March 7th, during an 800m turf trial at Conghua, it finished third under strong riding with a consistent performance. Prior to March, in a Sha Tin 1400m race, its performance was underwhelming; a slow start saw it settle towards the back with a steady pace but no significant finishing burst. After a short break, two barrier trials showed acceptable form. Returning to racing at Happy Valley over 1200m this time without any weight reduction, the horse has previous form over this distance and draws a favorable barrier. If it jumps cleanly and sets an early pace, it is expected to improve significantly.
