Four weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well, tracking the leaders and showing strong momentum to finish fourth, beaten by half a length. This time with no weight reduction, despite having previous form over this course and good timing within its group, it has the potential to track the pace-setters and even lead. The jockey is beginning to understand the horse’s capabilities, however, an outside draw presents a disadvantageous barrier position, and there appears to be limited synergy between trainer and jockey, suggesting a hold-up strategy might be best.
