On March 14th, during a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m, the horse led in the first two sections but weakened on the straight. On February 25th, a Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m saw it consistently fall back and perform well below its usual standard. A further Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m on March 10th began with the horse settling at the rear before maintaining position on the straight. On December 17th, a Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m saw an awkward start with early crowding, requiring urging after the 200m mark but showing a positive response. A Conghua turf trial over 1000m on December 6th required strong urging with only moderate response. An eight hundred meter turf trial at Conghua on November 8th saw it travel in fourth position with little change in pace throughout. This is the horse’s debut run as a new winner; it began training in Hong Kong in mid-September last year. Six barrier trials have been conducted this season without demonstrating any improvement. It has a low stride and quick short-distance footwork, but lacks strong acceleration and stamina. Given this is its first race, it should be considered a trial run only.
