Five weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley sprint, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing surge, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent dirt trial over 1200m sees the horse carrying two pounds less weight, with comparable times amongst its group, and an advantageous barrier draw offering potential for an early lead. The trainer and jockey appear to have a good rapport; a clean break and intent to race forward should see this horse contend for a top position.
