Four weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over the same distance, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking any impressive acceleration. A recent turf trial at Conghua over 1200m saw him move smoothly and maintain an even pace (sections: 3-3-4). This time he needs to carry two pounds more, faces a time difference within his group, and has drawn an outside barrier – conditions are not ideal. Despite having secured two wins at this distance previously, opportunities appear limited even when settling in a good position tracking the leaders.
