On April 11th, during a Conghua turf trial over 1200m, the horse settled in midfield, showing limited ability. Five weeks ago, it ran well over Sha Tin’s 1800m, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before finishing with fast splits in the final two sections, ultimately finishing sixth beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed no significant improvement. Another turf trial over 1600m was completed. This time, it will race without any added weight; it has previous form over this distance, with comparable times to its rivals, and draws an inside barrier. Luke Ferraris takes the ride, having some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, and appears well-prepared. Although a hold-up tactics are expected, the finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with opponents, the current form isn't ideal, and there is limited synergy between jockey and trainer – making it an attractive longshot."
