On April 10th, in a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 6-5-6), the horse showed some vigor on the turn but held back in the straight. On March 28th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 10-9-8), it was held back and not fully tested. This horse recently won a race over this distance two months ago; it jumped slowly, settled towards the rear with a steady pace, but responded well to urging from the jockey to take the win. After a short break, it has completed two barrier trials without showing exceptional form. It carries only a 2lb penalty in this race. Despite having won four of its nine starts over this distance and drawing an inside barrier, trainer-jockey combination is reasonable, and they are approaching the race seriously; however, considering the time difference with rivals, it’s likely to be held up in running. Its finishing kick may not be strong enough against the competition, making its chances unfavorable – best suited as a supporting selection.
