Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Sha Tin's 1200m, jumping moderately and settling towards the rear before making a move in the middle stages. He chased Last Kingdom but was beaten two and a half lengths for fifth. Now stepping back to Happy Valley over 1200m for his first attempt at this distance, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction. Despite drawing a decent barrier, a hold-up tactics is expected, although possessing a good finishing kick. Zac Purton takes the ride, with the jockey having some understanding of the horse’s ability and a positive trainer-jockey relationship apparent; the horse is showing significant improvement in trackwork, however, the distance may not suit and overall prospects are moderate.
