Two weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders but failing to sustain the pace and finishing well-beaten. A recent barrier trial showed some improvement. This time switching to a Happy Valley 1200m for its first attempt at this distance, carrying a two-pound weight reduction, the trip doesn’t entirely suit and the overall situation is not ideal despite drawing a good barrier; further observation after one run is recommended. On April 14th (dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-1), the horse broke well and cut in between horses, slightly urged at the 200m mark to shake off its rivals.
