ACE WAR

Three weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over the Sha Tin 2000m, slow out of the gate and settling towards the rear. It made a move in the middle stages but faded badly. The horse has since dropped 23 pounds in body weight and is now switching to a Happy Valley mile for its first attempt at this distance. Receiving a three-pound weight reduction this time, the distance is unfavorable and the overall situation appears difficult despite drawing a good barrier; it should be considered a trial run.
