He was beaten by one and a half lengths, displaying a respectable level of performance. A subsequent trial over a Happy Valley mile, sees him carrying two pounds less this time. Although proven over this distance, the competition isn’t significantly stronger. He has the ability to track the leading pace-setters or even take on a front-running role, and benefits from a favorable barrier draw with good finishing speed. Overall form is promising, and he holds a comparative advantage in terms of ability against other contenders. The trainer and jockey appear to be well-synchronized, though a dominant performance isn’t guaranteed.
