Five weeks ago, at Happy Valley over 1200m, the horse ran well despite a slow start and settling towards the rear with a consistent pace. It was urged forward but finished three and a half lengths behind the winner. Recent barrier trials have shown only moderate form. A subsequent trial over 1000m at Conghua saw it make a move after halfway, then eased back under restraint. This time racing over a short Happy Valley distance with a one-pound weight reduction, the horse has previous form over this course and comparable times within its group. With a favorable barrier draw and good preparation, it appears to have the potential to perform well.
