Showing a strong late surge, it finished third, beaten three lengths – a good performance. In a subsequent trial over 1800m at Happy Valley, it is set to carry only a two-pound penalty this time despite having secured two wins over this distance previously. Drawing a favorable barrier and with the jockey possessing excellent knowledge of the horse’s temperament, trainer and jockey have a strong rapport. However, due to a time difference within the same group, the likely tactic is to settle back in the field. Though capable of finishing well, its finishing kick may not be as potent as rivals, leaving it in an unfavorable position; a cautious approach is advised.
