On April 17th, the horse recorded (dirt trial 1200m: 3-4-1), moving out at the 300m mark to win with a strong finish. On April 8th, he ran (turf trial 1000m: 2-1-3), leading along the outside rail and finishing a comfortable third. Two months ago, in a race over the same distance, the horse performed poorly, settling in mid-division tracking the pace before failing to sustain a challenge. After a short break, two barrier trials showed improvement. Stepping out for his first start after being transferred, he faces a 20lb rise in weight this time and appears to have unfavorable competition within his group; despite drawing a good barrier with potential for an early lead, his chances appear slim.
