On March 27th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 3-2-2), the horse showed good early speed, straightened well and finished strongly to take second. Eight weeks prior, in a race over the same distance, it ran respectably despite a slow start, settling towards the back before finishing with a strong surge. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time, the horse receives a one-pound weight reduction and has drawn an inside barrier; a hold-up tactic is expected, relying on a strong finishing kick. Luke Ferraris takes the ride, demonstrating some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities. The horse was given gatework this morning, maintaining stable condition. Despite unfavorable section times within its group and a perceived lack of synergy between trainer and jockey, an upset win remains possible.
