Following a dirt trial on April 8th (1200m, sections of 3-3-5), the horse broke moderately and responded only adequately to urging after 200m. A turf trial on March 25th (1000m, sections of 7-7-8) saw limited improvement with light urging over 400m. On March 11th, a dirt trial over 1050m (sections of 2-2-6) had the horse tracking the pace until the final 200m, with only moderate response to riding. A turf trial on February 25th (1000m, sections of 4-4-9) showed an immature stride when urged late in the section. This is the horse’s debut race after arriving in Hong Kong and beginning training in early October last year. Four barrier trials this season have not yielded impressive results; exhibiting a low leg action, suggesting it's best suited to shorter distances but currently lacking early speed and acceleration. It will be worthwhile observing its performance in this first outing.
