Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed very well, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making a fast run in the final two sections. He finished within three and a half lengths of the winner. This time with a 2lb weight reduction, but having failed to place in seven attempts over this course and distance, and facing horses with faster times, the form looks unfavorable. Despite likely settling towards the back, his finishing kick is strong amongst the field; trainer and jockey still appear to work well together, though a winning strategy isn’t obvious.
