PERFECT PAIRING

On April 29th, recorded a dirt trial over 1200m finishing sections in 7-7-9, showing effort throughout but the distance was too short. Three weeks prior, over the same distance, displayed very good form; a slow jump led to settling towards the rear before making a strong late run with fast sectionals and finished second, beaten by half a length. A recent barrier trial didn’t show improvement. This time carrying only a 2lb weight increase, posting the best time in its group, with a favorable barrier draw. Compared to other competitors, it possesses a higher level of ability; the jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities and the trainer/jockey combination is harmonious. While potentially settling towards the rear this race, its finishing kick may be inferior to rivals making for an unfavorable position. A recovery from previous losses is possible.
