Two weeks ago (2/5), this horse ran 1200m on the dirt track, traveling wide throughout and showing some response when asked to extend. On April 17th (17/4), also over 1200m on the dirt, he was ridden early but didn’t show much improvement in his pace. A more recent trial on March 3rd (3/4) saw him trailing at the rear over 1050m, appearing sluggish and carrying excess weight. On March 21st (21/3), again over 1050m on dirt, he was allowed to settle into a comfortable rhythm but his action looked awkward. This is an Australian PP with a predicted rating of 61 by MA288. He has two overseas runs without finishing lower than second, including a win in his most recent start where he tracked the pace and finished strongly. He’s had four trials this season but hasn’t shown sufficient progress; it’s recommended to observe his performance in this debut race before making further judgements.
