On April 28th, the horse showed a strong performance in a Conghua turf trial over 800m, leading comfortably with impressive speed. Eight weeks prior, over the same distance, it ran acceptably, taking an early lead and showing mid-section acceleration but failing to sustain the effort until the finish, beaten three lengths for fifth place. Following a short break, a recent barrier trial indicated some improvement. This race requires a 7lb weight increase; despite having secured three wins over this distance, with good times recorded in the group, and drawing a favorable barrier, it should have an opportunity to lead. Lyle Hewitsin takes the ride, familiar with the horse’s temperament, and enjoys the trainer's confidence, however, the overall situation isn’t ideal and a slow start is anticipated.
