Four weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace but lacked an impressive turn of foot. Another trial on the straight course sees him benefit from a five-pound weight reduction, however, he was hampered by a poor barrier draw and unfavorable conditions. Despite late work to improve fitness, there were no signs of potential improvement.
