Three weeks ago, this horse’s performance over a 1200m dirt track was unremarkable, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He showed some acceleration in the middle stages but faded at the finish. After dropping back in class, he trialled again over a mile on dirt. This time he needs to carry 21 pounds more, having previously secured two wins over this distance. With good timing within the group, he is capable of settling forward and tracking the leaders. His work has been sufficiently vigorous; expect a strong challenge as an outsider.
