CONSPIRATOR

Two weeks ago, this horse performed well in a Happy Valley 1200m race, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear but finishing with a strong run. He's now stepping up to try a dirt mile after his last run, needing to carry an additional seventeen pounds. The distance is not ideal, and he has drawn an outside barrier. This time around, a hold-up tactic will be employed, however, his finishing kick isn’t as strong as the opposition, making for unfavorable conditions. Despite late work on the gate, this race is viewed as another trial run.
