LIGHT YEARS CHARM

On April 29th, (dirt trial 1200m: 7-5-5) the horse broke moderately and maintained a steady pace down the straight. Four weeks ago over the same distance, he delivered an excellent performance, jumping slowly but finishing strongly with fast sections in the final two furlongs to secure second place, narrowly beaten by half a length. He recently underwent a barrier trial without fully extending himself. This time, he carries only a 2lb penalty and has proven form over this trip with competitive sectionals. Drawing an inside barrier, a hold-up tactic is expected, possessing the strongest finishing kick in the field. He appears to be the leading contender based on relative ability, showing good synergy between horse, jockey, and trainer; currently displaying strong form.
