RISING FROM ASHES

Four weeks ago, this horse ran satisfactorily over a Happy Valley 1200m, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He showed a strong late run but was beaten three and a half lengths for sixth place. In a subsequent turf trial over 1400m, he will carry two pounds less this time, recording a moderate section time. The plan is to settle back in this race; however, his finishing kick may not be competitive enough against rivals, and the form appears unfavorable with limited winning chances.
