Two weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over Sha Tin 1400m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing surge. He finished sixth, beaten two and a half lengths. A recent trial over Sha Tin 1200m saw him carry four pounds more this time; his sectionals were unremarkable. Drawing an outside barrier necessitates a hold-up strategy, however, his finishing kick wasn’t strong enough in the trial. While he has shown form over this distance previously, conditions aren't ideal for a good run this race.
