On May 5th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse travel smoothly in second, maintaining pace (2-1-3). On April 25th, another 1000m turf trial at Conghua had him tracking the leaders and holding back without being fully tested (2-2-1). A further 800m turf trial on April 15th saw a comfortable victory after settling in second (2-2-1), performing adequately. On April 7th, an 800m turf trial resulted in another easy win following a good jump out (2-3-1). Prior to April, in a race over the same distance, performance was below expectations; settled tracking the pace but lacked a strong finish, finishing fifth beaten two and a half lengths. Returning from a spell, having completed four trials showing some improvement. This time with a one-pound weight reduction, boasting four wins from seven starts at this distance, good times recorded against rivals, drawing a favorable barrier position and potential for an early lead. Overall shape looks promising; jockey/trainer combination seems solid and is expected to challenge for the front positions if jumping cleanly.
