On 2/5, recorded sections of (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-4), maintaining good forward momentum. Four weeks ago over the same distance, the horse performed well, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before accelerating in the middle stages and finishing with a strong run. He finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial didn’t particularly stand out. This time benefiting from a six-pound weight reduction, having won five races in seventeen starts over this distance with comparable times to its competition; drawing an inside barrier suggests a hold-up tactic will be employed, relying on a strong finishing kick. The horse is receiving sufficient work and appears capable of running immediately.
