Five days ago (May 5th), during a Conghua turf trial over 1000m, the horse jumped awkwardly and was held back. Six weeks ago, in a straight course race, the performance was poor; a slow start led to settling at the rear with a steady pace but no finishing burst. A subsequent barrier trial showed acceptable form. Another turf trial over 1200m on Sha Tin track this time carries a two-pound weight reduction, posting the fastest time among its group. It should be able to secure a good position tracking the leaders, demonstrating the strongest finishing kick in the section and undergoing gatework practice before the race. Despite drawing an outside barrier, conditions are unfavorable and it’s likely to be an outsider with potential."
