Six weeks ago in the same distance race, performance was below expectations; slow start, settled towards the back of the field, made a move in the middle stages, chasing but finishing fourth, beaten three and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial indicated improvement. This time carrying one pound less weight, with the fastest section time in its group, it has potential to lead.
