On May 12th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 7-8-8), the horse showed no improvement when urged along the straight. Six weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, it jumped slowly and settled towards the rear, maintaining a steady pace but without any notable finishing kick. A subsequent barrier trial didn't reveal progress. Now switching to a longer distance at Happy Valley for its first attempt at this trip, the horse will carry one pound less weight this time, though the increased distance is not ideal. It’s expected to settle back in the field and its finishing speed appears inferior to rivals, making its prospects unfavorable despite drawing a decent barrier; observation from one race is recommended before further assessment.
