Five weeks ago, over the same distance, it ran respectably, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a move in the middle stages with a strong finishing effort. It finished seventh, beaten three lengths. A subsequent barrier trial yielded no clear indication of form. Entering this race after a period of rest, the horse is set to carry an additional 3 pounds. Despite having previously secured three wins over this distance and showing good times within its group, it has drawn an inside barrier but requires a hold-up tactic. It possesses the strongest finishing kick in the field and will be ridden by Zac Purton, who knows the horse well. Trainer and jockey share a positive rapport; however, the overall situation is unfavorable, suggesting a supporting role is most likely.
