Four weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear before finishing with fast sections. This time he benefits from a one-pound weight reduction, good section times in the group, and an advantageous barrier draw. The plan is to settle back again, relying on a strong finishing kick – considered the best in the field. Keagan De Melo takes the ride, having some understanding of the horse’s capabilities. Despite being winless in six attempts over this course and distance, the current form isn't entirely unfavorable, although trainer-jockey combination is not ideal.
