On June 13th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse travel very fast but was overtaken near the finish. Two months ago in a similar race, performance was below expectations, settling well and tracking the leaders with an even pace but lacking acceleration. A recent barrier trial showed moderate form. The horse has dropped 22 pounds in body weight and will carry no additional weight this time. He has proven records at this distance, showing good times against his peers. He is expected to contend for the lead, and the jockey understands how to ride the horse. Despite drawing a less favorable barrier, the trainer-jockey combination isn't ideal; however, a clean break should allow him to push forward for a leading position and secure a place in the top finishers.
