Returning to Happy Valley over a sprint distance this time with a two-pound weight reduction, he has previously recorded two wins over this course and distance. His times are competitive within the group, making him a strong contender for an early lead. He’s drawn a favorable barrier position which is advantageous. Based on his ability, he's considered the strongest runner in this race. Angus Chung takes the ride, possessing some understanding of the horse’s capabilities. Despite a potentially weak finishing kick and a less harmonious trainer-jockey relationship, a clean break and an intention to lead should see him comfortably secure a position within the front pack.
