Four weeks ago, this horse performed poorly in a straight course race, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing surge and finished fourth, beaten two and a half lengths. Returning to Happy Valley over a short distance this time with a one-pound weight reduction, the horse has previous form over this trip and recorded good times against its group. Drawing a favorable barrier, the plan is to settle back in the field and rely on a strong finishing kick; overall shape looks positive.
