On June 17th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 7-7-4), showing promising action and good conformation. Four weeks ago, in a similar distance trial, it performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear with an even pace but finishing strongly to take second place, beaten by two and a half lengths – a respectable level of performance. A recent barrier trial was satisfactory. This race doesn’t require additional weight. Though facing strong competition within the group and likely to settle towards the rear, it possesses good finishing speed. The trainer-jockey combination is reasonable; however, drawing a poor barrier compromises its chances somewhat, with hopes now focused on making ground.
